About Me
Hi, I’m Amy — a social worker and counsellor/psychotherapist who believes deeply in the power of feeling seen, supported, and understood.
My work is guided by a simple intention: to create a space where people can show up exactly as they are. A space where things don’t have to be perfectly put together… because life rarely is. Over the years I’ve supported young people and adults through anxiety, depression, grief, dependencies, trauma, relationship challenges, and the everyday pressures that slowly chip away at wellbeing.
What I’ve learned again and again is that healing happens when we feel safe enough to slow down, be curious, and explore what’s really going on beneath the surface.
How I work
I take an integrative, trauma-informed approach. As a social worker, I look at your whole world — past experiences, current stressors, your support system, and the patterns that might still be shaping how you respond today.
I draw on a range of evidence-based therapies such as Schema Therapy, DBT, CBT, Internal Family Systems, Motivational Interviewing, and art-based processes. Together, we explore both the deeper patterns that need attention and the practical skills that support day-to-day change.
My role isn’t to tell you what to do. It’s to walk alongside you, help you understand your inner landscape, and support you in building new ways of responding that feel grounded, empowering, and aligned with who you are now.
What matters to me
I strive to be warm, real, and non-judgemental. I’m someone who values honesty, gentle curiosity, and going at a pace that feels safe for your nervous system. I believe therapy should feel like a collaborative process — one where your experiences are honoured and your strengths recognised.
A bit more about me
Outside of my work, creativity is where I reconnect with myself. I love reimagining spaces, designing lightshades, and transforming everyday objects into something meaningful. When I’m not making or designing, you’ll usually find me outdoors — walking my dogs along the beach, camping, kayaking, or getting lost among the spotted gums on the South Coast.
Those quiet moments in nature remind me why I do this work: because everyone deserves a place to breathe, to feel supported, and to reconnect with their own inner wisdom.
